1000 Miles

Although not strictly a competitive event, the Thousand Mile challenge undertaken by 22 people in eleven cars pitted man, woman and machine against traffic, mechanical adversity, and exhaustion.

A report will appear in the next Gazette with the full tales of derring-do, but in the meantime we can reveal that the full thousand mile route was completed by all but three cars.  Of these, five chain driven and the one FN-BMW completed the distance within 24 hours.
