GN at Le Mans

Good photo of GN and Bresciaat La Sarthe 1920. Grand Prix de L’UMF at Le Mans 28^th August 1920, the GN is driven by Douglas Hawkes. Sixteen lap race 170 miles, Hawkes was flagged off after 5 laps but classified as a finisher in 5^th place. The race was the first to show a chequered flag to mark the end of a race. 1^st place Marcel Violet Major only 4 cars completed the distance.
